We chose to go the franchise route, because it is a proven fact that 96% of franchised models succeed.
We chose to go the franchise route, because it is a proven fact that 96% of franchised models succeed. Also didn’t want the hassle again with all that’s involved with start up businesses!
What did you do before taking up a franchise?
"We ran a successful DVD wholesale business working alongside Sony pictures, Warner Bros and Universal, supplying DVD to the retail sector, primarily BP Oil, Shell Oil and Total UK".
How did you raise the finance?
"We raised the finance from previous business and the remaining from our bank the HSBC".
Have you done your training with InXpress? How did you find it?
"We received 1 weeks training at head office, then continued call centre support until we felt confident enough to run the business on our own".
What is a typical day for you as a franchisee?
"Primarily on a typical day we are making cold calls, following up with perspective customers (leads) and dealing with existing customer queries".
What are you enjoying about running your own business?
"InXpress has given me not only financial security but it has made me a better business person it has also taught me to look at all angles of my business as opposed to just one or two. I.e. valuating others’ opinions and making them count towards successfully helping you run your business successfully".
What advice would you give to someone thinking of buying their first franchise?
1) "Allow for 3-4 months cash flow because your franchise can and does grow very quickly".
2) "If you are particularly entrepreneurial, I think a franchise is a good bench mark to allow you to work for yourself. Some would question a franchise model as not having complete control over your business. But with InXpress the pros far out weigh the cons, because often when you are working for yourself; you may not be making the best decisions for your business based on the fact that you may not have a support network or input from others. Where as with InXpress, the mistakes have already been made and rectified. So now, both new and existing franchisees can reap the rewards from a successful business model".
3) "My personal advice for somebody questioning whether to purchase InXpress as opposed to a Subway or Dominos etc. Is that immediately this business is not a ‘Shop mentality business’ i.e, purchasing stock, stock taking, counting your takings from the cash register at the end of the day, running staff, organising staff rotas and most importantly relying on your customer to come to you! Even McDonalds requires all of the above! With InXpress your income is residual! And if you want to earn £5,000 a month or £50,000 a month that’s your decision. InXpress is truly a business that can keep growing and growing. There isn’t one business that immediately springs to mind that gives you a residual income. With InXpress that does, you don’t have to rely on the customer coming to you and you can decide how much you want to earn"!
What are your plans for the future?
"We are just purchasing our next franchise in the United States."

Just before joining InXpress I was working in recruitment, which proved to be a well paid job, but one with very little career progression...

This is a great franchise for sales oriented people that want to own their own business. Almost every business ships, and wants to save money.
