Having previous experience of franchising, Kevin and Beverly Keith were keen to find a franchise where you 'own a business' rather than 'buy a job'
Like all people looking at franchising Kevin & Beverly Keith were fed up with the daily grind of lining someone else's pockets and wanted to be in a position to determine their own future, build something which could give them some security in retirement.
When they discovered the Maid2Clean business they had already had experience of franchising and were painfully aware that most franchises at the lower end of the scale, cost wise, tend to be simply ‘buying a job’ rather than ‘owning a business’ so they were very keen to ensure that they didn't fall into that trap again. Knowing this they realised that it had to be a Management franchise but these normally come with quite a high price tag.
The Keith’s said: “We looked at many business before we found Maid2Clean. When we did, the first thought was that it was too good to be true! It seemed to tick all the right boxes so we tried really hard to find problems, but we couldn't find a way to fault it.”
Eventually they took the plunge and got on board with Maid2Clean. It has now been two years and a lot of hard work but they are running the business at the same time as holding down their full time jobs and Kevin says that “I guess we could have made it easier on ourselves!”
The Keith’s add that “For all the hard work, the 'ups' and occasional 'downs', it's been fun and a terrific learning curve. There's a fantastic support network from the Franchisor and his team as well as from all the other franchisees, in person or via the forum.”
The Keith’s are now approaching the time when they will both quit their day jobs to run the business full time, at which point they expect things to really take off.
Kevin says that “I do believe that this is a great business model and would like to take this opportunity to thank Mike for the opportunity to become part of the Maid2Clean success story”.
