A FORMER car valet and repairman has laid down his tools to set up his own business as the Mac Tools dealer for the Camberley area.

Mike Szewciw made the decision to leave his valet and repair business due to the economic downturn.

He chose to join Mac Tools because he wanted to combine being his own boss with the added advantage of ongoing business support provided by Mac Tools head office. Mac Tools is a long-established national business which supplies high quality tools and equipment to the automotive industry.

Mike, 47, who lives in Camberley with his partner and their two boys, said: “I wanted a change in lifestyle, because I was finding things increasingly difficult on the valeting side.

“I chose to change the way I did my business. I already knew what a great business model Mac Tools had and I wanted to be part of that.

“I became interested in tools through a friend of mine who was involved in tools. I looked at all the options around me and Mac Tools were the best.” Mike has only been out on the road as a Mac Tools franchisee for a few weeks, but he is already starting to gain lots of new customers.

He said: “The reaction that I’m getting so far has been really positive. I’m still learning all the time, but the training that Mac Tools gave me has really given me a headstart.

“This is such a great move for me it was a really good decision.”
