
MOLLY MAID, the UK’s leading professional cleaning company, has just returned from their annual National Convention entitled Rise and Shine following an inspirational three days of presentations and workshops designed to continue growing revenue and delivering service excellence. This year, MOLLY MAID turned The Royal Berkshire Hotel in Ascot, with its impressive grounds, into its exclusive home for three days.
“The location was simply wonderful and provided a very fitting backdrop for a weekend of learning and discussion. The enthusiasm and drive of our Franchise Owners to grow their businesses is infectious as is their desire to learn and take part in the discussion groups,” said Pam Bader OBE, Chief Executive of MOLLY MAID and member of the BFA Board of Directors.
The convention dealt with a number of practical issues facing the business through 2011 and beyond. Enlightening presentations by noteworthy guest speakers, in particular Marc Woods, who spoke movingly about overcoming adversity as a one leg amputee was especially inspirational. Using his sudden onset of cancer as a seventeen year old as fuel to change his life, he revealed how personal determination and grit helped him to triumph in many diverse areas including gaining twelve Paralympic medals (four of which were gold)!
Marc’s zest for life, doing the best to ones abilities and ‘giving 100%’ all provided a motivational and emotional atmosphere amongst the Franchise Owners. Over the three days, there were plenty of opportunities for open questioning to grow revenue and delivering excellent service – both to practice as well as to perfect - group discussions and interactive workshops all with a view to improve skills, generate ideas and to set realistic plans to build the businesses and develop the brand even further.
“2011 is the year for adding new customers and demonstrating continued growth and as such, our convention provides the ideal platform to present proactive ways to ensure that we maintain our market leadership.” explains Pam. “We feel that we achieved this in a way that has allowed each Franchise Owner to develop their skills and techniques to maximise the true potential of their own business. Whilst MOLLY MAID has succeeded in weathering the economic climate by growing in 2009 and 2010, we have had the opportunity to share our experience of the last recession, and apply our knowledge to benefit the rest of the network. So far, we have succeeded against the odds and this year will be no different. Moreover, we will be continuing to recruit a select number of new Franchise Owners throughout the year.”
The convention concluded with a glittering Saturday night Gala dinner and the presentation of the Awards to Franchise Owners in recognition for their contributions and hard work to the business over the last year. *
As an extra bonus, MOLLY MAID took the opportunity over the few days to raise valuable funds for Cancer Research UK, of over £2011 in total – in recognition of the year itself. All together the event was a great success and MOLLY MAID is looking forward to another successful year throughout 2011.
