Leading SMART repair franchise, Revive! presented over 15 awards to franchisees at its recent annual conference to congratulate them on their performance over the past 12 months.
The conference began with a daytime technical session at the company’s headquarters in Rugby, where key suppliers, such as Movac, DeVilbiss and Akzo Nobel gave demonstrations on their latest products and innovations. In the afternoon, the event moved to Brandon Hall in Coventry, where franchisees were given a presentation on the new SMART Accreditation System co-developed by Revive!, followed by an evening dinner and awards ceremony.
The top award, Franchisee of the Year, went to Byron Lindsay who runs Revive! High Wycombe. Byron put his second van on the road in less than 12 months of trading and is currently looking for another member of staff to expand his business to three vans. DeVilbiss, the leading supplier of spray finishing equipment sponsored the award and donated an engraved spray gun as a prize.
Terry Mullen, Operations Director, Revive! said: “Byron is a great example of how following the system delivers results. He provides a fantastic standard of customer care, and embodies our key values of professionalism and growth.”
Byron said: “I was very surprised to win as I knew that there was quite a bit of competition from the other franchisees. But I’m over the moon that I did! It’s nice to have some recognition because it doesn’t happen very much when you work for yourself. I really enjoy what I do and get a sense of fulfilment when my staff do well. Some of the credit belongs with Revive! because they offer tremendous support - the best in the industry.”
The award for Outstanding Sales Achievement went to one of the youngest Revive! franchisees, Adam Smith, 29, who runs Revive! Luton and who managed to achieve a record first month when he started trading in August 2009. This award was sponsored by paint manufacturer Akzo Nobel, who provided a laptop.
Adam said: “I’m really chuffed. When I found out what the current record was I set myself a goal to beat it and with lots of hard work we managed it.” Adam continued to do so well that he went on to exceed his first month’s sales in his second month of business!
For the Outstanding Service accolade, Jon Miles who runs Revive! Bromley & Croydon was presented with an embossed Polishing Kit.
Jon said: “I’m very happy in what I do and that helps me provide a good service!”
Terry said: “Jon is so helpful and often travels far and wide to service our national accounts that are out of area. We get excellent feedback from customers.”
Chris Varney, owner of Revive! Middlesbrough was recognised as the Most Improved Franchisee, after turning around his business during the past 12 months. His award was sponsored by Movac, suppliers of industrial and automotive paint, and donated an Alloy Wheel Kit.
Chris said: “I left the conference last year raring to go. At the time I had one van, but since then I’ve taken on another member of staff, another van and I’ve doubled my sales.”
This award was sponsored by Movac and Chris received an Alloy Wheel Refurbishing Kit.
