Owen Rowlands Joined Ovenclean in 2012

Owen Rowlands had spent ?fteen years working in highway construction and maintenance. When he joined the UK’s leading domestic oven cleaning franchise in 2012, it transformed his life in ways he never imagined.

Owen wasn’t initially sure of what he wanted to do, but when he spotted an advertisement for Ovenclean he decided to attend an Open Day.

"Frankly, I was really impressed.  I was able to chat to one of Ovenclean’s existing franchisees, who seemed a really genuine guy and he told me how he’d made a real success of his business. Then, when I met the management team, everyone was friendly and informative, but not at all pushy."

Having spoken to more franchisees and mulled the whole idea over, Owen decided to invest in a franchise and started his training a few weeks later.

"My training included two weeks shadowing an experienced Ovenclean franchisee.  It was great, my trainer was – and still is – always happy to offer advice.  Ovenclean have been fantastic, they’ve given me all the help I could ever have asked for."

Owen claims that demand for his cleaning service has been high from the start. Owen’s business is continuing to thrive and he has ambitious plans for the future.

"Every month, turnover gets better and better, which is exactly as Ovenclean told me it would be!  Although I’m really busy in my original territory, the response has been so positive that I have taken the plunge and invested in an adjacent, second territory - now I’m rushed off my feet!"

After completing his 1000th oven clean, Owen reckons his database is well over 1000 strong, but that’s just the beginning according to ambitious Owen.

"There’s more than enough work to justify running a second van, so I’m planning to get another vehicle on the road in a few months."

Commenting on the support he’s received from Ovenclean Head Of?ce, Owen cannot praise the team enough.

"Ovenclean have been fantastic, they’ve given me all the help I could ever have asked for.  To be honest, they set me up so well that I haven’t needed much ongoing assistance, their brilliant start-up team gave me all the tools I needed to make my own success!"

With a diary full of appointments, and some big plans in prospect, Owen is looking forward to another year of growth.

"It’s been a wonderful time, I’ve been thrilled by how well it’s gone – I can’t wait to see what the future brings!"
