In 2019, a record-breaking number of franchisees and their families joined Snap-on in celebrating another incredible year at their annual Franchise Conference. This year marked their best ever, with close to 2000 people passing through the doors of Birmingham’s ICC for the event.
The exclusive annual conference provides the opportunity for franchisees to share their successes and experiences with other, like-minded franchise owners. As well as giving them the chance to learn from some of the best in the industry to help them propel their own business to new heights. Whether you’ve been a franchisee for ten months or 10 years, there’s something for everyone.
Team Snap-on took over much of the 98,000-sq. ft venue, with networking areas and expert-led seminars scheduled across the weekend. Industry specialists and consultants were on hand for the duration of the event, offering franchisees financial, legal, logistical or technical support – and all on a completely confidential, one-to-one basis. Their custom-built mobile app meant that franchisees could plan their days with precision and never miss a vital moment!
Always the highlight of the conference, the legendary Tool Show was not to be missed. Snao-on launched over 120 new products, had some literally show-stopping deals up for grabs and gave franchisees the chance to secure 2019’s must-have stock for their customers! Along with their own dedicated support team, they were delighted to welcome eleven Product Managers from the US who spent the show giving advice and sharing their specialist experience with franchisees. With a life-size Formula One simulator and 25 live demos throughout the show, the buzz was palpable.
If there’s one thing Snap-on know how to do, it’s show their network a good time! Live entertainment and some of the best world-cuisine was on offer throughout the conference; from piano singers and canapes to classic pub food and live bands. The weekend was capped off, in true Snap-on style, with a glittering awards gala.
A black-tie dinner followed by the presentation of their most prestigious awards to the UK’s top performers. Honours were given for the best single and multi-unit franchisees as well as the top performing franchisee under two years old. A special award was given to Wantage-based, Phil Dew, who has just clocked up a phenomenal 40 years as a franchisee. With 11 franchisees joining the esteemed £10k club, for weekly turnovers of over £10,000, there was certainly reason to celebrate!
